Travel tips - All the useful experience for a tour in Sapa

  1. Go to Sapa by train

If you want to visit Sapa on weekend, you should buy the train ticket on Friday night (Train trip at 22h00). You will be in Sapa on Saturday and have all Sunday to discover it.

a. Day 1

If you take the train trip at 22h00, you’ll arrive at Lao Cai at 7h00 tomorrow and can take a bus to Sapa. Then, you can check in at your hotel and rent a motorbike to visit around Sapa. You can go to Ta Phin Commune, Early Spring Church Singing, Thac Bac Waterfall… You should make a list what to see in Sapa before to be more convenient. For lunch, the best way is bring some fast food or prepare some quick lunch at home.

In the afternoon, you can continue your trip by discovering the stone church, then you come back to the hotel to take a rest.

In the evening, you should reserve your time to enjoy the cuisine in Sapa, especially  barbeque. To taste it, you can go to Sapa Market or find Cau May Street where there have many restaurants with the delicious food and an affordable price.

b. Day 2

You should visit O Quy Ho Pass where has a magnificent scenery in Sapa. Here, you can take some beautiful photos. Then you can come back to Love Waterfall to go to lunch.

In the afternoon, you can take a walk around this city and climb to the top of Ham Rong Mountain.

Finally, you return to your hotel and take a taxi to get the train to Hanoi.

  1. Go to Sapa by motorbike

There have 3 directions that you can choose to start your trip:

- Direction 1: Hanoi - Vinh Phuc - Viet Tri - Phong Chau - Doan Hung - Yen Bai - Lao Cai - Sapa (about 360km, via Lao Cai)

- Direction 2: Hanoi - Hoa Lac - Son Tay - Trung Ha Bridge - Phong Chau Bridge - Phong Chau - Doan Hung - along road 70 - Lao Cai - Sapa (about 370km, via Lao Cai)

- Direction 3: Hanoi - Hoa Lac - Son Tay - Thanh Son - along Highway 32 - Sapa (about 420km, via Lai Chau)

a. Day 1

Choose one of the three directions to Sapa, check in your hotel or homestay and take a rest.

In the afternoon, you can contemplate the sunset in Sapa at the end of Fansipan Street, then go to the Sapa center and eat barbeque in Cau May Street and Sapa Lake.

b. Day 2

Go to Ta Phin Village to see the stone church and the natural landscape in here.

Go to Lao Chai Village - Ta Van - Ho Village or any favorite places in Sapa.

Free: You can ask the ethnic minority to stay at their home. In this case, you should bring some gifts for the children in the village or for your host.
